Filter Everything is a WordPress filtering plugin for posts, custom post types, WooCommerce products, taxonomies, custom fields, and builder-generated content. The free edition covers core AJAX filtering, while Pro adds broader content compatibility, unlimited filter sets, instant counts, advanced WooCommerce behavior, SEO-friendly URLs, SEO rules, and stronger mobile controls.
Best fit: WordPress and WooCommerce sites that want flexible filtering across many themes and builders, with unusually strong control over crawlable filter URLs and SEO landing pages.
Filtering model and compatibility
Filter Everything works by targeting the query behind a listing rather than requiring a proprietary grid. It can build filters from taxonomies, attributes, custom fields, categories, and other WordPress data. The vendor currently lists compatibility with major builders such as Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Breakdance, Beaver Builder, Gutenberg, WPBakery, and popular WooCommerce themes.
The free version already supports AJAX filtering, search within filtered results, sorting, hierarchical filtering, and mobile-responsive layouts. Pro removes several scope limits and adds more control over which content and criteria can be filtered.
WooCommerce-specific behavior
WooCommerce filtering is a major focus. Pro includes accurate variation and out-of-stock filtering, price and rating controls, swatches, brand-style filters, mobile filter interfaces, and counts that update as selections change. This can reduce the mismatch between what a filter says is available and what can actually be purchased.
Stores should still test variable products, catalog visibility, stock synchronization, multilingual attributes, caching, and third-party product add-ons before replacing an existing filter system.
SEO-friendly filtered pages
Filter Everything Pro differentiates itself with explicit SEO controls. It can generate clean filter URLs, define SEO rules for combinations, control titles, descriptions, and headings, add selected filtered pages to an XML sitemap, and reduce accidental empty or low-value filter pages.
This is powerful but should be used selectively. Indexing every possible filter combination can create thin or duplicative landing pages. A sensible SEO plan identifies combinations with real search demand and keeps purely navigational states out of the index.
Pricing and licensing
The free edition can be used on unlimited sites. The regular Personal Pro price is $69 per year for one production site plus one development site. Freelancer is $199 per year for ten sites, and Agency is $299 per year for unlimited sites. As of September 26, 2026, the vendor is running a temporary sale through September 30 that reduces those first-year prices.
Paid licenses include a year of updates and support, with renewal described as optional. The vendor also advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee under its refund policy.
Migration and filter URL planning
Moving from another plugin requires more than recreating checkboxes. Map the query source, taxonomy and field keys, URL rules, default sort, variation behavior, and any SEO landing pages. Export or document old settings before deactivation, and keep a redirect map for filter URLs that already receive organic traffic.
After launch, crawl the site for unintended parameter pages, verify canonical tags, compare result counts, and test whether caching or security layers interfere with AJAX requests.
Where Filter Everything may not fit
FacetWP may be more attractive for developers who want deep hooks and a mature facet ecosystem. Search & Filter Pro offers a form-oriented builder, JetSmartFilters aligns closely with Crocoblock, and WP Grid Builder combines facets with a visual card/grid system. Filter Everything is most distinctive when query flexibility and filter-page SEO are central requirements.
SEO governance is part of the setup
Filter Everything Pro can intentionally turn selected filter combinations into crawlable landing pages, so SEO ownership should be decided before launch. Define which combinations deserve titles, descriptions, headings, and sitemap inclusion, and keep low-value permutations out of the index. This avoids creating thousands of thin URLs from an otherwise useful navigation system.
WooCommerce stores should also review how product counts respond to stock synchronization, variation changes, and bulk imports. After large catalog updates, test the most important filter combinations on mobile and desktop and recrawl the generated URLs to catch accidental indexation or empty result pages.
Compatibility testing should use the real archive
Because the plugin is designed to work across many themes and builders, staging tests should use the exact archive, query loop, and caching stack planned for production. Check result counts after changing categories, custom fields, and product stock, then repeat the same filters from a mobile drawer and a desktop layout.
This is particularly important on sites where another plugin rewrites the main query. A filter can appear correct on a simple demo while behaving differently on a custom search template or heavily modified WooCommerce archive.
Filter Everything 1.9.7 and crawler controls
Filter Everything 1.9.7, released September 22, 2026, includes a security fix for Elementor Pro Load More and infinite-scroll behavior on filtered pages. The late-2026 releases also add crawler controls that matter for large WooCommerce catalogs: filter links can be rendered without normal crawlable anchors, and the plugin can generate robots.txt disallow rules for filter URL parameters.
Those controls are useful because faceted navigation can create a very large number of URL combinations. Do not treat the defaults as a complete SEO strategy, though. Decide which filtered landing pages should be indexable, which combinations should stay out of crawl paths, and how canonicals, internal links, sitemaps, and server/CDN caching interact with filter parameters. Test this with Google Search Console and your own crawl after deployment.
For migration, map each Filter Set to its target page/query, note whether filters use taxonomies, custom fields, authors, post dates, or WooCommerce attributes, and record URL-prefix settings before switching tools. Recheck Elementor loops, pagination, range values, AJAX behavior, and any SEO-friendly filter URLs after the change.
